In 2009, I find myself inspired by the simplest of simple summer recipes, recipes so short, so intuitive, so repeated, that we might be reluctant to even call them 'recipes'. These are the recipes that leave us with the time and energy to set up a backyard baseball game, spend an evening watching the moon rise, set off for hours on a bicycle, spend an extra hour at the beach. In other words: Summer Easy means Less Cookin' and More Livin'!
There's even a Summer Easy theme song -- so while you're browsing the recipes, listen to this Billie Holiday classic from Porgy and Bess! This music has turned in my head for weeks now!
